Christ is the Creator of the world: from Colossians 1:16-17

The creation and its completion by the 7th Day: from Genesis 1 + 2:2-3; Exodus 20:8-11; Ezekiel 20:20

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. And God said, “Let Us make man in our image, according to our likeness.“ God created man in his own image; male and female He created them. By the seventh day God completed his work, and He rested on the seventh day. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it. – “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy – a <covenant-> sign between Me and you, that you may know that I am the Lord your God.”

God’s Law is love and unchangeable: from Romans 13:10; Luke 16:17; 21:33

Love is the fulfilment of the law. – ”It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one stroke of a letter of the law to fail. – My words will not pass away.“

Sin is self-destruction and death: from Proverbs 11:3; s. Proverbs 19:3; Romans 6:21,23

The crookedness of the treacherous will destroy them. – The foolishness of a man leads him astray, but against the Lord rages his heart. – What benefit were you then deriving from the things of with you are now ashamed? For the outcome of those things is death. For the wages of sin is death.

When <Jesus> approached, He wept, saying: ”If you had known in this day the things which make for peace! But now they have been hidden from your eyes. For the days will come upon you when your enemies will level you to the ground. – How often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were unwilling.“ – ”For the brokenness of my people I am broken; I mourn. – My eyes overflow with tears day and night without ceasing. For my people, my dear children, have suffered a crushing blow.“

Christ is God and became Man: from Isaiah 9:6-7 (Esv); John 1:1-5,14 (Esv); Philippians 2:5-8 (Rsv)

For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. – The Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory. – Christ Jesus was in the form of God (in) equality with God, emptied himself, being born in the likeness of men, and being found in human form.

Christ reveals the Father: from John 1:18 (Rsv); 18:37; 14,9; 1 John 5:20

No one has ever seen God. The only Son has made Him known: – ”For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth. – He who has seen Me has seen the Father.“ – We know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true. This is the true God and eternal life.

Christ gained the victory over death: from 2 Timothy 1:10

Our Savior Jesus Christ abolished death and brought life to light through the gospel.

Christ’s Return: from 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

The Lord himself will descend from heaven, and the dead in Christ will rise, and so we shall always be with the Lord.

The new earth and eternal life with God: from Revelation 21:1,3-4; 22:4; 1 Corinthians 2:9

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth. And God himself will be among <men>, and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning or crying, or pain. They will see his face. – Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, and which have not entered the heart of man, all that God has prepared for those who love Him.

God is Love: from 1 John 4:7-9,16 (Esv)

Love is from God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him. So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us.

God is warmhearted and loving: from John 16:26-27; Hosea 11:4; 2:19-20 (Nkjv); Zechariah 2:8; Zephaniah 3:17

Jesus said: “I do not say to you that I will ask the Father on your behalf; for the Father himself loves you.“ – “I drew them with gentle cords, with bands of love, and I stooped and <gently> fed them. – For he who touches
you touches the apple of <my> eye. – I will betroth you to Me forever; yes I will betroth you to Me in lovingkindness and mercy; I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness, and you shall know the Lord.” – The Lord your God is in your midst. He will exult over you with joy, He will be quiet in his love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.“

God is humble and gentle: from Matthew 11:29; John 12:45

”I am gentle and humble in heart. – He who see Me sees the One who sent Me.“

God knows all men in before, creates them, is with them and guides them: from Psalm 139

Lord, You know me. You know when I sit down and when I rise up; You understand my thought from afar. You are intimately acquainted with all my ways. Even before there is a word on my tongue, behold, you know it all. You are there. Your eyes have seen my unformed substance. You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Search me, o God, and know my heart; try me and know my thoughts; and see if there be any hurtful way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way.

God’s plan of salvation: from John 3:16-21; Romans 5:8; Ephesians 3:14-21

For God so loved the world, that He gave his only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did send the Son into the world, that the world might be saved through Him. He who believes in Him is not judged. – God demonstrates his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. – He <may> grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge. Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory forever and ever.

Human hearts as soil of the field: from Luke 8:5-15

The sower went out to sow, and as he sowed, some fell on the rocky soil, and among thorns. Other seed fell into the good soil, and grew up, and produced a crop. The seed is the Word of God. Those on the rocky soil are those who have heard, believe for a while, and in time of temptation fall away, among the thorns are the ones who are choked with worries and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to maturity. But the seed in the good soil, these are the ones who have heard the word in an honest and good heart, and hold it fast, and bear fruit with perseverance.

New birth for a new life: from John 3:3; 1:12-13; 2 Corinthians 5:17

Unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. – But as many as received <Christ>, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in his name, who were born of God. – Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

A man will be changed by beholding: s. 2 Corinthians 3:18

We all are beholding the glory of the Lord, and so we will be transformed into the same image from glory to glory, as it is done by the Lord, the Spirit.

Christ is the life: from John 14:6; 6:48-58

”I am the way, the truth, and the life. – I am the bread of life, that came down out of heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, I will raise him up on the last day, and he will live forever.“

This is how God loves us, since ...

He has given his life to demonstrate to us his love: from Romans 5:8

God demonstrates his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

He has drawn us by his love: from Jeremiah 31:3

“I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness.”

He goes after us: from Ezekiel 34:11-12,16; Luke 15:4-6; 19:10

“Thus says the Lord, Behold, I Myself will search for My sheep and seek them out, as a shepherd. I will seek the lost, bring back the scattered, bind up the broken and strengthen the sick.“ – “What man among you, if he has a hundred sheep and has lost one of them, does not go after the one which is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. I tell you that in the same way, there will be joy in heaven over one sinner who repents. – For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.“

He takes away from us the burden of sin und gives us rest: from Matthew 11:28-30

“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.“

He forgives us and cleanses us: from 1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

He makes us free: from John 8:32, 34-36

“You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. Truly, I say to you everyone who commits sin is the slave of sin. So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.“

He heals and renews our character: from Jeremiah 17:9-10,14; Ezekiel 36:26-29

Heal me, o Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved. – “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and I will be your God“

He wants to give us peace and good thoughts: from John 14:27; Philippians 4:4-9

”My peace I give to you.“ – Rejoice in the Lord always! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

He sees us as his children: from Romans 8:14-17; 1 John 3:1

The Spirit himself testifies that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ. – See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are.

He carries us and takes care of us as our Father: s. Hosea 11:3; s. Deuteronomy 8:5; 1:31 (Nasb)

”It was I who taught my people to walk; I carried them on my arms.“ – Know in your heart that the Lord raised and educated you just as a man raises and educates his son. – The Lord your God carried you, just as a man carries his son, in all the way which you have walked.

He carries us from childhood on till old age and saves us: from Isaiah 46:3-4

”Listen to Me, you who have been borne by Me from birth and have been carried from the womb; even to your old age I will be the same, and even to your graying years I will bear you! I have done it, and I will carry you; and I will bear you and I will deliver you.“

He has a plan for our life: from Jeremiah 29:11

”For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.“

He gives us value: from Isaiah 49:16; 43:4

”Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands. – Since you are precious in My sight, since you are honored and I love you.“

He shows us his closeness and care: from Psalm 139:5,9-10,18

You have enclosed me behind and before, and laid your hand upon me. If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, even there your hand will lead me, and your right hand will lay hold of me. When I awake, I am still with You.

He walks with us through difficulties: from Isaiah 43:2-3

”When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you. For I am the Lord your Savior.“

He suffers with us in sympathy: from Lamentations 3:22-23; Hebrews 4:14-15

The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. – Therefore, since we have a great high priest, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in al things as we are, yet without sin.

He loves us with a warm heart and comforts us: from Isaiah 66:12-14

”You will be carried on the <arms> and fondled on the knees. As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you. Then you will see this, and your heart will be glad.“

He fights for us: from Isaiah 30:15 (Esv); 2 Chronicles 20:15; Exodus 14:14 (Esv)

Thus says the Lord: “In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.“ – Do not fear, for the battle is not yours but God’s. – The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.

He gives us security and safety: from Isaiah 41:10 (Esv)

”Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.“

He gives us new strength: from Isaiah 40:29,31 (Nkjv)

He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

He sends us the Holy Spirit and helps us: from John 14:15-17

“If you love me, you will keep My commandments. And the Father will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth. He abides with you und will be in you.“

He speaks to us through the Holy Spirit: from John 14:26; 16:13-15

”The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you. – When He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth. Whatever He hears, He will speak, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you.“

He speaks to us through the Bible: from Jeremiah 22:29; s. Romans 10:11; 2 Timothy 3:15-17 (Rsv)

Hear the Word of the Lord. – For the Scripture says, ‘Whoever believes in Him will not be ruined.’ – You have been acquainted with the sacred writings which are able to instruct you for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All scripture is inspired by God and are profitable for teaching, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be equipped for every good work.

He gives us the truth in his Word: from John 17:1,17

Jesus said, “Father, sanctify them in the truth, your Word is truth.“

He wants us to examine and to gain knowledge: from Acts of the Apostles 17:11; Philippians 1:9-10

They received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so. – This I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless.

He gives us wisdom: from James 1:5

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

He makes us grow by being connected with Him: from John 15:4-5

”Abide in me, and I in you. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.“

He gives us courage, walks with us and does not forsake us: from Deuteronomy 31:6; Isaiah 49:15

”Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble, for the Lord your God is the One who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. – Can a woman forget her nursing child and have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, but I will not forget you.“

He defends us, nothing can separate us from Him: from Romans 8:31-39

If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? Who will bring a charge against God’s elect? God is the One who justifies. Who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, who was raised, who also <is> for us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God.

He stays with us, loves us and frees us to fearlessly love: from 1 John 4:15-16,18-19

Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him. The one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear. We love, because He first loved us.

He is with us until the end of the world: from Matthew 28:20 (Esv)

“And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

He has a home for us in Heaven: from John 14:2-3

“In my Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you. For I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.“
